At around 4 p.m. EST storms will start developing in northern Texas, moving northeast into Oklahoma and potentially into southwestern portions of Missouri. These storms will bring damaging wind gusts and large hail, which are the main threats to life/property. No tornadoes are expected to happen.

In the early hours of Wednesday storms will start developing through several portions of Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas at approximately 1 a.m. EST. These systems will potentially form a squall line and bring large hail and damaging wind gusts with a small potential for tornadoes. Although, there is a potential for tornadoes they will be uncommon and will likely not be sustained.

The cells will still form in the given timespan above. However, tornadoes are a bigger threat now for parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana. The significant tornado parameter shows a 1.2 over the general area of Louisville, Kentucky. The main watch areas are portions of western Kentucky, southern Missouri, and southern Indiana. In addition, flood watches have been placed for northern parts of Kentucky. Dry mid-levels can and will kill tornado potential, but they bring stronger downdrafts which can enhance damaging wind gusts and hail.

The main risk area expected today is hovering over portions of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. This area is the most likely to produce tornadoes or spin-ups. Whenever storms move into this region expect severe wind gusts, and large hail. These cells are expected to hover over the most favorable region this evening. Flood watches are still up for portions of northern Kentucky. These storms are dangerous especially after the sun sets.

On Thursday, tornadoes will be extremely likely over central Oklahoma. This is a very dangerous setup due to the extreme amount of wind shear over the region. Storms will be producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. These cells will also have a strong chance of producing tornadoes.

Nocturnal tornadoes will be an extreme threat for tonight going into tomorrow morning. Severe thunderstorms will produce large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few possible tornadoes. As a low pressure system moves over the volatile area of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, a squall line will start to form at around 7 p.m. EST to 11 p.m. EST and can bring damaging wind gusts and hail. A widespread severe weather event is expected to bring numerous severe thunderstorms possible of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes. This widespread event will start in the evening and a squall line is expected to appear over regions of the central United States. The squall line is expected to move eastward and cross multiple states over night.

A squall line formed last night to this morning will be moving east impacting multiple counties in Kentucky. It is expected to bring large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes. The Storm Prediction Center has given a 5% tornado risk for portions of the Ohio Valley and a stretched region across the Appalachian.

Around the night and midnight hours of Tuesday, strong thunderstorms are expected to impact portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Storms have started to initiate along the dry line and are intensifying quickly. The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded today's risk to a moderate risk for severe weather. There is also a new CIG 2 tornado risk over portions of Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe thunderstorms over regions from the Lower Mississippi Valley northeastward through the Ohio Valley and the Mid-Atlantic. The system will be moving through Kentucky at approximately the noon to evening hours of Wednesday. It is expected to bring large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes. More updates to come.

The tornado threat for Kentucky has died down a little bit due to low presence of 3-km AGL CAPE and low shear. However, a 2% tornado risk still persists. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts and possible hail.

A potent low pressure system is expected to bring massive snow totals to portions of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa as well as a severe weather threat from regions of Illinois all the way to Texas. This system is expected to move east into an environment favorable for damaging wind gusts, large hail, and possibly tornadoes. After it passes Kentucky it is expected to move into another volatile system on the east coast. More updates to come.

Snow will be likely this afternoon with totals reaching up to 3". The east coast is currently experiencing the system that had just passed through last night and there is a moderate risk in place by the Storm Prediction Center.
